WARSAW — With K21 Health Foundation now in its 20th year, the board of directors wanted to find a way to recognize the foundation’s role in the community for the past two decades. It elected to do this by providing a financial gift to a non-profit that has been serving the community as long or longer than the foundation and one that helps K21 further its commitment to the health of the residents of Kosciusko County. The directors selected Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice to receive a gift of appreciation of $20,000.
Started by a group of local nurses who recognized a need for in-home care, Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice has been providing quality health care services to the community since 1976. The staff of nurses, social workers, home health aides, homemakers, and administrative support personnel work to offer excellent care to the patients they serve, regardless of their ability to pay. Their services have further expanded into medication and dental assistance programs, as well as providing help center services in the K21 Health Services Pavilion.
“Kosciusko County is blessed to have Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice serving our community,” said President and CEO Rich Haddad. “Their various services are critical to the health services, assistance and direction of our residents. Our relationship with them has spanned the entire life of K21 and we look forward to continuing to support this wonderful organization in the future.”
